Radiography
Radiography is an imaging technique that uses electromagnetic radiation other than visible light, especially x-rays, to view the internal structures of your pet's body.
To create the image, a beam of x-rays is produced by an x-ray generator and is projected toward the desired area. The x-rays that pass through that area are captured by a detector (either photographic film or a digital detector). The detector can then provide a 2D representation of your pet's cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, urinary, and reproductive systems.
Kowaliga Whole Health uses a digital radiography (x-ray) machine, which produces faster results and much clearer images than outdated film-based x-ray machines.
Veterinary radiology is used to evaluate a variety of illnesses or injuries in pets. Our skilled use of technology combined with expert interpretation leads to the most accurate diagnoses for our patients.
